A photographic project by Ilaria Magliocchetti Lombi and Simona Ghizzoni, created in collaboration with the Lilith anti-violence center in Latina. The work retraces the journeys of four women out of violence, giving voice to their stories through two complementary perspectives. Simona Ghizzoni reinterprets the women’s experiences with her own body, through self-portraiture, identifying with their emotions; Ilaria Magliocchetti Lombi focuses on the places, objects, and domestic spaces where violence erupted, revisiting their stories through the concept of home. Segni reveals the early “signs” of toxic relationships and invites reflection on the deep-rooted dynamics of domestic violence. The project was conceived as an educational program aimed at helping younger generations recognize and understand the early signs of abuse. Workshops and discussions involved students in activities of reflection and photographic creation on themes such as stereotypes, power, and control.
The exhibition was on view at Palazzo Braschi, Rome (Piazza Navona), from December 2021 to June 2022.
