Irina, Romeo and Loredana. Taranto, Italy

“I am 66 years old and 11 years ago I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I am a widow, I have 2 happily married children and a 7-month old granddaughter. Now I live with Irina who comes from Georgia and takes care of me – unfortunately I am now forced to use the wheelchair – and with the cat Romeo. We spent our quarantine happily at home following the rules to avoid worse trouble. In this long period, I have missed seeing my granddaughter, my hours of physiotherapy, the view of the sea, ultimately the freedom that is the most precious thing we have. However, I feel lucky compared to many people who have lost their lives and the sacrifice of staying at home is nothing”.
