Emile. Ramallah, Palestine

“I’m a theater director and actor. I have been in quarantine for about 40 days now. It’s not the first time, we as Palestinian experience quarantine, curfews or even siege. Although, this time, it’s a global epidemic, that threatens us directly, and nature too. I was expecting that I won’t be able to stay at home, but quickly, I found myself getting busy with painting and writing, not trying to be productive, but trying to reshape the negative energy in the air into something more positive. Lately, the government has been allowing small shops to open gradually and under supervision, but it still feels strange to go back to normal life; as the world feels like it has changed and became a new territory for us to rediscover and to treat differently from now on”
